Amy Carter Ishmael is a 20th/21st century American Painter, that has resided in Texas over half of her creative life. She has lived in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Virginia, Texas, and South Carolina. She moved back to Texas as a 27-year-old and has raised a family here in the DFW area.
She paints both in the USA, as well as when she travels outside of the USA, which, so far has been limited to North and South America. She enjoys painting the National, State and Local Parks and is a member of the "Paint The Parks Program".

Q: How am I qualified and what groups am I a member of in the arts.:
The Creator endows creative ability. Although a self-taught painter on earth, I have studied 30+ studio college hours in both 2-D and 3-D design, Sculpture and Printmaking, so I believe my technique training in those classes, helped motivate me to pursue my painting, to share what I feel and see. Some painterly Monoprints have also been shown in the North Texas Area. My full CV is too long, yet, I list here my invitationals in Printmaking and Pastel and Oil Painting. (In addition to showing my work, I was allowed to invite Lynn Hubner to show hers and man my table while I Offered a collaborative work for all indoor and outdoor invitational artists, plus University Participants, and volunteer or Museum Employees to participate in, if they so chose. November 2018, as well as for when I had to scoot outside and create a Steamroller print for the Outside Invitational.)

Q: Do you offer Layaway?
A: Yes. I Do, 50% down, and if one painting, then up to two more payments. If you are buying a home full, we can work out a longer payment structure, as I do enjoy collectors, and decorators/homemakers who decorate with original art.
