Virtual Art Shows

Amy Carter Ishmael / Comment on this

I've now done two virtual art shows and I can tell you, I look forward to my third because I will have help holding the camera.  It's a strange world, moving from in person displays of artwork, and show entries, to more virtual shows.

Many artists are embracing this change.  After all, a bit less travel actually frees up more time for hobbies, like doing laundry, washing the dishes, making a meal, and vacuuming the floor.  I know so many people must be just thrilled with this extra hobby time.  It does make one feel productively industrious to contribute to a household of more than one by sharing some of that gloriously industrious work.

Today, I actually made home made pasta, and whipped up a chees lasagnge all while watching Little House on The Prarie.  After about 5-7 episodes...I lost count, I eeked out one painting.  A full sheet pastel, of which, I reserve the right to add to tomorrow after a full day of teaching.

You see, I'm done holding myself to a list of "to dos".  I have a pad of paper, that has two elephants on it, and a bunch of rabbits.  I've heard it said that if you do two major things that move you closer to your goals, and then just fill in with lots of little things...like those hobbies I mentioned.  You'll be well on your way to meeting or exceeding your big goals.

My Big Goals today, were to paint a painting, and to use my one "day off" to avoid watching any violence on TV.

Guess What?  I made it!

I also, now have a couple loads of clean sheets, an organized drawer, so my hubby can store his new kitchen bakeware, and dinner made a.k.a. like Mrs. Ingals would have made for her family.

A day well spent.

I hope as much for you.  A couple things to move you toward your goal...and less stress for 2021.

Happy New Year!
