In my first newsletter, I spoke about adding some paintings from two categories, 1) vacation spots, and 2) some Foods That Include Peaches.
As you can see instead of painting peaches, i used one image I already had painted, and three new since the newsletter mentioning vacation spots to be up and coming paintings.
You see I keep eating my peaches. I have taken some reference photos, yet I haven't yet stopped to paint from them. I prefer landscapes and the natural world. Since the system says my "reach" is only four people right now, I will tell you that if those four want me to paint a painting of peaches, I will, if you send me a note, so I know you are really wanting that.
I hope you enjoy A "View From Staten Island Ferry", "Social Distancing"can occur on this Ferry and it's a free trip across the water. True you'll need a mask. However, putting up your phones and viewing the trip as a child would a bit relaxing.
"They Retired to Their Joy", is on the Virginia Coast. Although many of the beaches may be in need of a few less people on them, these coastal spots on little river banks are often filled with very few people. Ths one near the James River, I saw just a handful of people while there, so if you are near an island or River bank in the area, check it out and go for a swim, or draw in the sand.
"Tide Going Out", which is over at Seaside Art Gallery, on The Outer Banks of North Carolina, of course has plenty of island for the North and South Carolina traveler to make a day trip or weekend of it. My trip to that gallery last Oct. made me aware of just how much selection there was for both the collector of minis, and the tourist, and beach front cottage owner to select from while there.
"Near Encahanted Rock", is close to the second largest outcropping of granite in the United States and well worth a visit with a small group. Think, smaller than Stone Mountain with none of the contreversy.
These are just a few of the places I traveled near last year. My July doesn't have a big trip or even little vacation this month, at month end or at the begining. Yet painting some of them gave me a taste of traveling again. I hope you enjoy and buy what you like. Put a bit of vacation on your walls during this time close to home this year.
PS If you followed me on social media, you would see when I came back from New York, I had gotten double pnumonia while there. Not unusual for me, yet I just got my cleared x-ray. They never tested me for the virus because I wasn't high risk enough to waste a test on. We healthy ones....stay well.
