The advertisement for the Ladies Night Out Pop UP Art Show and Sale at A.R.T. On The Square, Thursday April 8th 2021, by Jim Witherspoon, Board Member of A.R.T., in charge of advertisement.
Although three artists were slotted to be at this show, we have highlights of two, here, so come on out and see if a third is present. Not sure if they missed the deadline or just have a case of shyness.
The artwork that Amy Carter Ishmael brings (for Thursday) will include some early work in acrylic, in small sizes through her "Art For Small Spaces" brand.
These artworks are fabulous pieces to place with Velcro on the small space of wall we find in between rooms in houses. You know that space that measures about 5 to 6 inches wide? Well the Art For Small Spaces brand includes small 4" x 4" gallery wrapped canvases, and 4" x 12" gallery wrapped canvases, at price points that equal about the amount of going out to eat at a nice restaurant, for a couple. Although there are other concepts in this brand, these have rarely been at a show.
So even if you think your home is full of art already, don't miss the chance to decorate these often overlooked areas. If you think, you don't have the desire to eat out at a restaurant yet, then stop by and spend about as much on your first piece of collectable art.
There will of course be work from Linda and Amy that stays up on The Pop Up Art Show Walls, in the center of the gallery through Sunday. So even if the artists aren't present to talk to, you may purchase their art for this show through Sunday. There will also be new art from gallery artists that has recently replaced The Student Art Show from last month hanging on the walls of the gallery, including new unseen work by Amy Carter Ishmael.
Additionally, Amy Carter Ishmael will have a pastel work featured in gallery8680's Earth Day Show this week. Opening reception will be on Fri. April 9th, 7-9pm, with additional hours Fri. April 16th and Fri. April 23rd.
Or for gallery8680, by appointment with Robyn Feehan, gallery director. Simply call 214-585-8175. For the Earth Day Show, an additional 10% of Amy's work, if sold, will remit back to the park it was painted from, as part of her "Paint The Parks Works".
Here is a link to some paint the parks paintings, in her newly formed "Paint The Parks, Gallery Page on-line.
Some work at the Waxahachie Show from parks, will never have been on-line to be seen in her shop or elsewhere.
